Terms and conditions

For the supply of Workshops by Jemima in the Woods

This page (together with our privacy policy and terms and conditions of website use) tells you information about Jemima in the Woods and the legal terms and conditions (“Terms”) on which we sell any of the workshops listed on our website (“Workshops”) to you either via the use of the online shop or via phone order to our team members on 07852 937 336.

These Terms will apply to any contract between us for the supply of Workshops (“Contract”).

Please read these Terms carefully before booking any Workshop through our site or via telephone.  Please note that before placing a booking for a Workshop you will be asked to agree to these Terms and if you refuse to accept these Terms you will not be able to book any Workshop through our site.

You should print a copy of these Terms or save them to your computer for future reference. We may amend these Terms from time to time. Please therefore check these Terms to ensure you understand the terms which will apply at the time of each booking.

You may only book a Workshop if you are at least 18 years old.

Acceptance of terms and conditions

By completing the registration form for a particular workshop, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions set out in these pages (“Terms”) and they will be incorporated into the contract between us (“Contract”). You will ensure that you and any other person attending the Workshop on your behalf shall comply with these Terms. The Contract is formed when we send you a booking confirmation.

Payment

The price of the Workshop will be as quoted at the time you submit your order and will be advised during the check-out process before you confirm your order.

The price of a Workshop is VAT inclusive (if applicable) at the applicable current rate chargeable in the UK.

Workshop prices are liable to change at any time, but changes will not affect reservations already placed.

We require payment in full at the time of booking. We do not take provisional bookings and cannot confirm your place on a Workshop until we receive full payment. Payment can be made via the Paypal online booking system on this website.

If a payment for a Workshop is to be made utilising a Jemima in the Woods Gift Voucher or Workshop voucher, vouchers must be presented and surrendered to a member of our staff to gain entry to the Workshop. Gift Vouchers must also be surrendered to our partner staff in concessions to purchase any Jemima in the Woods stock.

Following order processing and payment, you and Jemima in the Woods will receive notification of your payment via the online shop booking system. You / or the given recipient of any Workshop Voucher must subsequently contact our Registration team at the Botanical Wellbeing Workshop on 07852 937 336 to register your place on your desired Workshop. We recommend you do this as soon as possible as availability is limited for each Workshop. We will do our best to accommodate your preferences. You will receive your Registration confirmation via email and must surrender your voucher for admittance to the Workshop. All vouchers to be redeemed within a year of purchase.

Payment will be made via our merchant account provider (and you consent to us passing your necessary details to the merchant account provider and to them processing necessary information about you) or directly to our bank account, as notified to you.

Our concession partners will take payments on behalf of Jemima in the Woods via our or their merchant account provider (and you consent to us passing your necessary details to the merchant account provider and to them processing necessary information about you) or directly to our bank account, as notified to you. Our concessions accept Jemima in the Woods Gift Vouchers, most Debit & Credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and other contactless smartphones and watches with the mobile card reader.

Cancellation & Refunds

Whilst very unlikely, there may be circumstances in which we need to cancel a Workshop. In such circumstances, we will provide you with either a Credit voucher to the value of the Workshop charge you have paid us, so that you may book an alternative Workshop of the same value (or incur an additional charge if selecting a higher value Workshop) or a full refund of the amount of the Workshop charge that you have paid to us and we will make every effort to provide you with such refund within 28 days of the date of cancellation. Any Credit voucher issued is valid for use within 12 months of date of issue.

Should you need to cancel your booking, the following terms apply:

Any cancellation made twenty eight, or more, days prior to the scheduled Workshop date, Jemima in the Woods will assist you to alter your booking to an alternative date or Workshop (note this is subject to any additional charges that may apply resulting from the alternative date or workshop chosen). If an alternative date or workshop cannot be agreed at the time of cancellation you will be issued with a Credit voucher to the value of the Workshop (which can be redeemed in purchasing an alternative available workshop). This Credit voucher shall be valid for up to 12 months from the date of issue.  If you fail to rebook an alternative workshop within this period the Credit Voucher will be deemed invalid.
Credit vouchers are non-refundable and lost vouchers cannot be replaced.

Any cancellation made less than twenty eight days before the date of the Workshop the full charge will be payable (no refund will be issued), and you will not be entitled to any Credit voucher.

In the event that you are unable to attend the Workshop, then we will accept a nomination by you for another person to attend in your place. Any person attending in your place shall also be expected to adhere to the terms and conditions outlined here, and in our Privacy Policy.

If you need to cancel a Workshop, just let us know as soon as possible so that we may best assist you in making alternative arrangements. Call our team at the workshop on 07852 937 336 or email us info@jemimainthewoods.com. A cancellation is effective from the date we are in receipt of the earliest communication regarding this.

Workshops bought as gifts carry the same cancellation policy.

We may at any times cancel the booking or refuse your right to attend the Workshop or require your removal from the Workshop in the event of you failing to perform any of the obligations contained within these terms and conditions.

In the event that we cancel the booking or refuse you right to attend the Workshop or require your removal from the Workshop for breach of any conditions we shall be under no obligation whatsoever to you, and you shall make no claim whatsoever against us in relation to the booking. In no event shall we be liable for consequential damages of any nature for any reason whatsoever.

Liability & Disclaimer

Whilst every reasonable precaution is taken by us to ensure security and safety at the workshop, we shall not in any way be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you whatsoever in relation to the Workshop, save that nothing in these Terms shall be deemed to limit the liability of any person for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, any fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability for which it is unlawful to exclude or limit liability.

Our total liability for any matter arising out of the Contract shall in all circumstances be limited to the price paid by you for the Workshop and we shall not in any circumstances be liable to you for any consequential loss whatsoever.
